NATE Exam Prep Heat Pump Review

NATE certification exams cover seven topic areas as they apply to the specialty that you are testing for. In preparing for the Heat Pump Certification, either at the Installation or Service level, the NATE Heat Pump specialty covers the following:

* Installation, inspection and servicing of refrigeration cycle components * Servicing and troubleshooting of electrical components in a system * Installation, inspection and servicing of air distribution systems * Installation and servicing of auxiliary heating equipment * Calculations and diagnosis of air flow issues * Heat load / heat transfer issues * Proper usage of tools

This review allows you to tune up in some or all of the major categories represented in the bulleted list above. Essentially these categories amount to four topic areas for the Heat Pump specialty.

* HVAC Electrical Review * Refrigeration Cycle Review * Air Side Review * Heat Pump Specific Review

You can test yourself before proceeding into the review content and again after reviewing the content. We call this a "Pre-Test" and "Post Test" exercise. You have the opportunity to do this as many times as you wish for each of the four main topic areas for the term of your enrollment. Other tools include, videos, and resource links.
